Clientflow Platform Updates: 22 June - 5 July 2026
Twenty-two features across the fortnight, and two of them are worth a conversation rather than a paragraph. Rentals has gone generally available, which gives any business with bookable inventory, whether that is equipment, vehicles or property, a proper booking system rather than an appointment calendar bent into shape. WhatsApp calling has come out of beta onto web and mobile. And if you advertise housing or lettings on Meta, Ad Manager now warns you when your targeting breaches their special category rules before the campaign gets knocked back. Here is everything from 22 June to 5 July 2026.
Rentals
Rentals Is Live for Everyone
Rentals has moved from limited release to general availability. It handles duration-based, inventory-driven bookings rather than appointments: listings carry hourly, daily, weekly or monthly pricing, quantity tracking and variants, and availability is checked automatically so the same item cannot be booked twice.
Pricing supports seasonal and tiered models along with security deposits. Booking types cover a date and time selector, a date-only selector, or fixed duration packages, and a customer can book several listings in one checkout. There is a public booking page showing listings with real-time availability, admin-side manual booking with invoice generation and payment collection, and a dedicated calendar view with colour-coded status filtering.
It is on by default for new accounts and must be activated for existing ones, then found under Calendars, Calendar Settings, Rentals. The listed use cases run to equipment hire, vehicle rental, event businesses, coworking spaces and holiday rentals. If you hire out plant, tools or vehicles, or manage rental property, this is the module to look at. More detail
Rentals: SMS Notifications
SMS is now a notification channel for every rental booking event: unconfirmed, booked, cancelled, rescheduled, reminder and follow-up. For each one you choose whether the contact, the business, or both receive the message, with separate template options per recipient so the wording suits the audience. Default templates ship for every type and can be edited, and a test SMS can be sent before going live. Configured under Calendar Settings, Rentals, Global settings, Notifications. On a hire business, reminder SMS is one of the few direct levers on no-shows. More detail
Rentals: WhatsApp Notifications
The same set of rental events can now send WhatsApp messages, again configured per event type with selectable recipients, so contacts and the business can each receive a different template for the same event. Templates come from your approved WhatsApp templates, with an in-app builder for new ones and a refresh to pull the latest list, and a test message can be sent before saving. Same path: Calendar Settings, Rentals, Global settings, Notifications. More detail
Communication
WhatsApp Calling Reaches General Availability
WhatsApp calling is out of beta on both web and mobile. Voice calls happen inside the same WhatsApp conversation with no external dialler and no number sharing, including one-click escalation from chat to voice. Controls cover business calling hours, a temporarily unavailable mode for breaks and holidays, and call permission requests sent by template message. On mobile there is multi-account inbound calling with no setup, one-tap calling and full call logging.
Call dispositions are configurable, up to ten outcome tags per account, with defaults including No Answer, Lead not interested, Voicemail and Follow Up. Dispositions can trigger workflows and feed the call reporting dashboard.
Set up on web under Settings, WhatsApp, Calling: pick a number, set a friendly name, configure up to six ring recipients and enable Allow Voice Calls. Mobile needs version 4.18 or later. Requirements are a connected number at the 2,000-tier messaging limit or above, not on coexistence. Outbound calls need permission, cap at five connected calls per 24 hours, and are unavailable in the USA, Canada, Turkey, Egypt, Vietnam and Nigeria. More detail
Inbound Calls Ring Only During Your Working Hours
A user can now choose to receive inbound calls only during their working hours, with calls outside those hours routing to the number’s backup destination. Switch on “Only ring during working hours” in your profile and pick a schedule; holidays are handled with date-specific overrides. Found under Settings, My Profile, in the inbound call routing card, and admins can manage it for staff under Settings, My Staff, Edit, User Availability.
Behaviour differs by call type: direct calls skip users outside their hours, ring-all skips only the teammates who are off, and call menu and IVR skip off-hours users while others keep ringing. Forwarding numbers are excluded when the user is off-hours. Off by default, so nothing changes until you switch it on. Transferred calls are not yet supported and there are no per-user backup options. More detail
Conversations: SLA Triggers and Dismissal Permissions
A workflow can now run when a conversation SLA becomes due soon, becomes overdue, or is manually dismissed, so a slow reply escalates itself rather than being spotted by chance. An Avoid Repeated Triggers option limits execution to once per conversation in 24 hours. Manual dismissal handles messages that need no reply, such as a thank you, and admins choose whether all users or only admins can dismiss. A full audit trail records who dismissed an SLA and what its status was at the time. Build it with Conversation SLA as the workflow trigger, choosing Due Soon, Overdue or SLA dismissed, and set permissions in Conversations settings. More detail
YouTube Links Render Properly in Sent Emails
A YouTube link pasted into an email from Conversations used to arrive as a blank rectangle, because email providers block embedded video players. Links now render as a clickable thumbnail that opens the video in a new tab, working across Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo, with both standard watch links and shortened share links. Nothing changes in how you write the email. If you send walkthroughs, quote explanations or before-and-after clips, this quietly fixes emails that were arriving looking broken. More detail
Marketing
Meta Special Ad Categories: Compliance Warnings
Meta restricts targeting on campaigns about housing, employment, credit, financial products and social or political issues. When you select a special ad category at campaign level, Ad Manager now shows an informational notice, a compliance banner indicating whether your targeting values comply, and a guidelines accordion for reviewing the rules. Field-level warnings highlight the specific targeting values likely to fall foul, and a one-click Fix it applies the recommended compliant value.
The flow is non-blocking, so you can proceed with warnings showing, and the warnings are advisory rather than automatic corrections. For anyone advertising property, lettings or trade roles, this catches the compliance problem at build time instead of at rejection. More detail
Ad Manager: Opportunity Score Before You Publish
The review screen for a Meta campaign now shows a percentage readiness score with a Low, Medium or High status, calculated across audience setup, budget allocation, creative elements and conversion tracking. Alongside it sits a list of recommendations ordered by impact, each clickable so it takes you straight to the part of the setup that needs fixing. Nothing is applied automatically and the score is guidance rather than a performance guarantee. Meta campaigns only, and pre-publish only. Post-publish scoring using Meta’s own recommendations, and possible extension to Google and LinkedIn, are flagged as planned. More detail
Custom Values in Ad Copy
Ad copy fields for Meta, Google and LinkedIn campaigns now accept custom values, so business name, city, phone number and support email can be inserted rather than retyped per campaign. Supported in primary text, headlines, descriptions and introduction text, through an Insert Custom Values icon beside the field. A Map custom values option lets you review anything missing before publishing, validation flags values that are missing, invalid or over the character limit, and preview screens show the resolved copy as it will appear. Campaign templates retain the custom value keys so they carry across accounts.
Not supported in URL fields, call-to-action dropdowns, lead form selectors, media uploads, targeting, budget or bid strategy fields. Changing a value after publishing requires republishing the campaign. More detail
Retry a Failed Social Post
A post that failed to publish can now be retried or rescheduled instead of rebuilt. Retry Now republishes with the original content and settings, marking the post Published on success. Reschedule moves it back to Scheduled at a new date and time. Found through the three-dot menu on a failed post in the Failed Posts section, and available in list view, grid view and post preview. Only posts in a failed state qualify, there is no bulk retry, and automatic retries are not supported. More detail
CRM
Contact Detail Page: More Layout Control
The contact detail page gains real layout control. Panels can be resized and the left panel expanded beyond its old narrow width. Owners and followers have been separated so each can be shown, hidden or managed independently on the contact card. Any two custom fields can be placed directly on the contact card, displaying read-only there with editing still through the All Fields tab. Tags can now sit in the left or centre panel rather than being fixed inside the card. The Actions and All Fields tabs can be renamed and reordered, and modules inside dynamic tabs expand automatically when the tab opens.
Flagged as coming: placing a module in more than one panel, user permissions for customised views, and email composer integration on the email icon. More detail
Contacts Rebuilt in the Mobile App
The Contacts area of the mobile app has been redesigned. The list gains a new header, search, smart list picker, swipe actions and refreshed empty states. The profile card shows avatar, owner, followers and tags with the Edit button placed for one-tap access, and a menu offering Share, Do Not Disturb and Delete. The Details tab adds search within fields and folders, filters for all fields, empty fields or non-empty fields, inline editing, and expandable folders with tap-to-edit.
Every contact tab has been updated, with task and opportunity counts shown on the tabs themselves. Swipe actions cover Call, Message, Share, Delete and More, which includes copying name, email, phone and address. Available in version 4.19.1. Contact customisation settings configured on the web will sync to mobile in a later release. More detail
Document Privacy and Access Controls
Documents in the document panel on a contact record now support four link types. A public link works for anyone holding it. A private link works only for authorised users. A one-time code link sends a passcode to the contact’s email address. A password-protected link uses a passcode you set. Alongside those, you can set an expiry date on a shared link, allow or block downloads, and view access history for auditing. The default is private unless changed at the point of sharing.
Currently in Labs. Extending these controls to document attachments in notes and custom fields is flagged as planned. For anyone handling contracts, certificates, identity documents or compliance paperwork, this closes off the shared link that quietly circulates further than intended. More detail
Automation
A Workflow Trigger for Client Portal File Uploads
A new Client Portal File Uploaded trigger fires the moment a contact uploads a document through the portal’s shared documents feature. Multiple file types are supported and a client can upload up to ten files at once. Build it under Automation, Workflows, using the trigger and whatever actions follow.
For any business that collects paperwork from customers, whether that is contracts, certificates, identification or site photos, this replaces checking the portal periodically with a notification or a task the moment something lands. More detail
Python in the Custom Code Action
The Custom Code action in workflows now offers Python as a language option, selected from a dropdown inside the action, alongside the existing option. The direct relevance depends on whether anyone builds custom logic in your account, but it widens the pool of people who can write bespoke calculations, data formatting and third-party integrations into a workflow. More detail
Payments
Two-Step Checkout for Stores
Store checkout can now run in two steps instead of one, chosen from the checkout element’s form options in the builder. Step one collects first name, last name, email, phone number and shipping; step two handles billing, payment, order review and placing the order. Validation is required before a customer can move to step two.
One-step remains the default and existing checkout pages are unchanged. The setting applies at element level, so different pages can use different configurations. The reason to consider it: capturing name, email and phone at step one means an abandoned checkout still leaves you contact details to follow up. More detail
Payment Links: Write Your Own Button Text
The checkout button on a payment link was limited to Pay, Book or Donate. You can now enter your own wording, up to 50 characters, under Payments, Payment Links, Advanced Options, in the call to action dropdown. Custom text displays across all devices. New checkout sessions pick up the change immediately while sessions already open keep the old label until refreshed. Matching the button to the offer, whether that is a deposit, a booking fee or a membership, is a small change with a measurable effect on completion. More detail
Reporting
Dashboards and Custom Reports: Consistent Interface
Headers, navigation, breadcrumbs, side panels and modals across dashboards and custom reports have been visually unified, and every chart and widget type now uses consistent loading states, error states and styling. Advanced filters, quick filter panels and datepickers follow the same visual language, and the custom metric builder, report builder and related flows have been redesigned to match. It also covers the widget AI summary and the Google Ads, Facebook and Google Analytics widgets.
Currently a Labs feature, enabled under Settings then Labs. Purely a visual change, with no effect on data, dashboards, reports, widgets, filters or custom metrics. Two things to watch: custom CSS may need reviewing because component alignment has changed, and minor spacing differences are expected. More detail
Forms, security and credentials
Forms, Surveys and Quizzes: Notifications Get Their Own Tab
Notification settings have moved from an icon into a labelled Notifications tab inside the builder, and tooltips have been rewritten to be contextual to the product type and the selected field, with Learn more links through to the relevant help article. No notification functionality has changed. This matters more than it sounds, because a form quietly configured to notify nobody is one of the more common ways enquiries go missing. More detail
Password Requirements Tightened
Passwords must now be at least 12 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character. The standard is enforced at signup and activation, password reset and forgot password, profile update, and edit user info. It applies to all new users and to any existing user changing their password from 4 June 2026 onward; this phase does not force existing passwords to be changed. Worth pairing with a review of who still has login access to your account. More detail
Certificates and Badges: Three Download Formats
Certificates and badges can now be downloaded as PDF for printing, PNG for high-quality images with transparency, or JPG for email, websites and social sharing. Both credential types behave the same way. One credential can now be printed, embedded on a page and posted to social media without recreating the artwork. More detail
